About Me
Hello!
Hi— I'm Papa Fara Beuthame MENDY, a Senegalese master craftsman, and a true aficionado of all things wood!
Hailing from the vibrant lands of Senegal, I've soaked up the essence of my homeland and carried it with me on a global journey that has landed me and my family in the beautiful state of Maine.
I am an activist, committed to proposing new opportunities for those who seek solutions to their struggles beyond borders. It's disheartening to witness some, driven by fearlessness, risking their lives on makeshift canoes, only to see their dreams of migration shattered in the harsh realities of the so-called developed countries, purportedly respectful of human freedom.
In line with my belief that faith in oneself and creativity can lead to a life of dignity, I invest all my imagination in recycling these canoes, transforming the wood into vibrant works of art.
Through this creative process, I aim to inspire faith in diversity and enrich the lives of those who dare to embrace it. These unique creations, born from my exceptional creative genius, stand as a testament to my commitment to making a difference in the world.
